Meet Edgar Testimonial

Those of you that know me, know that I am a teacher by degree and a coach by profession.  As a coach, I also love to BE coached and learn new things in life and business.
Most people do like to learn!  AND coached, AND grow too!
However, in this day and age, especially now with COVID 19, it is more difficult than ever to feel connected enough to someone to have them coach you, or even just LEARN anything for that matter, with schools closed and/or closing, social distancing and all.
Many companies and their employees are very "cold" when people call them.  In fact, some of those companies are downright "rude."
I went to the emergency room recently, and instead of a "Hello.  How may I help you?" or something similar, what I got was a "What do you want?"  Seriously?  No kidding!
Who would want to be met with that greeting when they are standing there in pain with a kidney stone?  Again, seriously?
Believe it or not, they have a customer service telephone number I called and they call themselves "The Customer Experience Department."
Customer Experience?  Customer Experience?  I could not believe it!
They need to get out of their offices and come down to where the people live to find out what is really happening.  You can't create a customer experience of any kind if you are stuck in an office with a phone.
Other experiences are similar.  Even companies on the web no longer post a telephone number or even where the company headquarters is located.  Go ahead..check it out!  You will find that what I am saying is absolutely true.
I do not do business with businesses that don't build relationships...it is that SIMPLE!
Without a telephone number and an address to a place that you are proud to tell people you hail from, you just can't be good at customer service, or as some say, Customer Experience.
So, today, I want to introduce you to an extraordinary company that has literally changed my life...and especially, my Social Media life.
They are different!
They CARE!
They Empathize!
meetedgar logoThey make you feel a part of the TEAM!
Well....who are they?
Meet Edgar!
Did you get that?
MeetEdgar!
No, that is not a person....that is actually the real name of the company...Meet Edgar....short version is ME!
WOW!  This company is no high falutin' Fortune 500 company.  You can tell right away that this company is different.  They are "down to earth."
They know how to "keep the cookies on the bottom shelf."
Their leader (Ms. Laura Roeder/CEO), the Marketing Guru (Megan with her awesome SMILE), and the ME Support Team.  They are all very energetic and really know their craft technically!
The "Technical" Skill Wheel is one of the back two wheels in The Tricycle Effect!
BUT...and this is a big BUT....what stands out the most is that they are CARING!
Yes...they are Leading with Character First!
Caring is one of the spokes inside the Front "Character" Skill Wheel in The Tricycle Effect.
Their product and service is #1 and no one comes close to their operation, at least that I have experienced over the last 41 years that I have been in business and the IT business at that.
How do I know they are CARING, you ask?
Well, for starters they actually followup with emails, blogs and videos and keep following up.
They also start you right off with quick education tidbits and personal videos so you get to personally know them and feel like you have known them all of your life.
They really live the old adage "KNOW, LIKE, and TRUST!"  And the simple methods they use to get you and their product up and running quickly and easily so you have a quick WIN is Fantastic!
I could literally say that they COACH you from the first minute you connect with them.
They are intent on building strong TRUST relationships with their customers, and it literally shows in every "touch" they make with their customers.
The Professional or People" Skill Wheel in building relationships with others is also one of the back two wheels in The Tricycle Effect.
They are professionals that know how to connect with the "HEART" of their customers.
This experience has been a lot of FUN!
MeetEdgar is all about automating your Social Media to grow your business!
That is it!
So, they took something that I was having a very difficult time with and struggling to get done, and turned it into a simple and FUN way to create social media posts and manage them at the same time.
Today, my life is so much more simple in the fast lane of Social Media, but I am in control thanks to MeetEdgar.
And best of all?  Life is FUN again in the Social Media fast lane!
Maybe you struggle with the same fears and anxieties that I did with posting my social media material.
Maybe you are looking for a great way to automate, schedule and deliver your social media the right way, and on time, every time.
If you are, then MeetEdgar is for you too! #meetedgar

Focus on Your Strengths NOT Your weaknesses

Lately, I have found myself having trouble focusing on a single goal long enough to really feel like I could make a difference. Do you experience that sometimes too? Things in life just get going too fast!

However, I was really encouraged when I came across something that Dr. John C. Maxwell wrote in his book titled, "Talent is not Enough." John wrote, "Focusing on weaknesses instead of strengths is like having a handful of coins—a few made of pure gold and the rest of tarnished copper—and setting aside the gold coins to spend all your time cleaning and shining the copper ones in the hopes of making them look more valuable. No matter how long you spend on them, they will never be worth what the gold ones are. Go with your greatest assets; don’t waste your time."

So instead of focusing on my weaknesses (or struggles, as my friend and mentor Lee Ellis likes to say), I am determined to focus more on my strengths going forward. I now realize that no matter how much I shine the copper in me...it will never be as shiny or valuable as the gold in me. How about you? Is it time to quit shining the copper in you too? We all have some copper, but we all have some gold too. Forget the past and let's focus on our gold ... the strengths and talents we have at the present moment.

Remember...Go For The Gold....Keep Leading with Character First....Dane
